Youth Leadership Council

The Woodstock Public Library is excited to launch the Youth Leadership Council in September of 2026! A volunteer opportunity for students in Grades 9 through 12, the Youth Leadership Council (YLC) is looking for teens who:

  • Show initiative and are action-oriented
  • Are creative and think outside the box
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, collaboration, and occasional problem-solving skills
  • Can commit to monthly meetings, and also be open to additional opportunities as they arise throuhout the school year

The YLC will offer:

  • An opportunity to be a voice in the library for Woodstock-area teens
  • Monthly meetings and opportunities to acquire community service hours towards your high school diploma
  • Additional volunteer opportunities around the library whenever possible
  • Chances to hone leadership, planning, and advocacy skills

If this sounds like the right fit for you, please fill out the YAC volunteer application form. Applications for the 2026-2027 school year will be open from July 6 through September 15 at 5 pm.

 

WPL Teen Reviewers (14-18 years)

Help us promote books, movies, video games, and more to other teens by writing reviews!
Each review can earn one (1) volunteer hour, with a maximum of 10 hours per school year. A review can be submitted by filling out the WPL Teen Reviewer form.
